We are now back to the filler season. These are the filler episodes for One Piece’s seventh season: 196-206, 213-216, 220-226. About 66% of this season are filler episodes.
The filler arc covers what happened to the crew after their ship fell from sky island. The location was changed to a Navy outpost to fill in extra stuff that has no relevance. This arc is optional and you can just start with episode 207. I would even question the Foxy arc as it also feels like a filler.
The only good thing that came from this season was the introduction of High Admiral Aokiji near the end in episode 227-228.
The animation is consistent with the previous season. The only new opening theme is the catchy “Kokoro no Chizu” (ココロのちず, lit. Map of the Heart) by Boystyle. The two new ending themes are “Dreamship” by Aiko Ikuta and “Mirai Koukai” (未来航海, lit. Future Voyage) by Tackey & Tsubasa. In English speaking territories, “Mirai Koukai” was replaced with the next ending theme “Eternal Pose” due to music licensing issues. Both new songs are decent, though they do not catch my attention. Though I do prefer “Eternal Pose” over “Mirai Koukai”. Both have that boy band type music, but “Eternal Pose” is more to my taste.
I would only recommend watching the last two episode of this season if you are not a fan of filler or arc that go nowhere. One Piece contains moderate graphic violence and suggestive themes/dialogs. Intended for young adults.
