TL;DR Review

I did not think That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime would grab me this much. I had waited until at least three episodes aired before making my first impression, but now I can’t wait till each new episode get a release on Monday.

The animation is gorgeous with a quirky fluffy fluidity to it. The colors are vibrant and sharp.

Elements Garden is composing the series’ music. Takuma Terashima is performing the series’ opening theme song “Nameless story”. True is performing the series’ ending theme song “Another colony”. The opening song is one of the few flaws I find in this series, as it is your typical bishounen sounding type of opening. Thankfully, the ending theme redeems the music for me.

The writing is smart and funny. This series remind me of Overlord except its focus is more on comedy and less evil. The character is likable and of course, overpower, as in most isekai.

I’ll label this as a harem anime, but some may not even consider it. There are a few cute girls that love our main protagonist, but then almost everyone loves him too.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, though it isn’t flawless. Some of the arcs had me in tear, especially the Shizu storyline. While others feel a bit hollow. The story did meander a bit near the end. Overall, I still consider this series one of the best show of 2018.

I highly recommend this series to the fan of fantasy that loves a good vibe anime. This anime contains graphic violence and some suggestive themes/dialogs. Intended for young adults.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 1 Review

The Demon Lord Satan seeks to conquer the world of Ente Isla by annexing its four continents with the help of his demon generals Alciel, Lucifer, Malacoda, and Adramelech. After being confronted by the Hero Emilia Justina and her companions after they killed Malacoda and Adramelech, Satan Jacob and Alciel escape the world of Ente Isla through a gate to modern Tokyo, Japan. However, due to the lack of magic in the modern contemporary world, both Satan Jacob and Alciel change into forms representing what they would look like if they were human. In order to survive, Satan Jacob takes a part-time job in a fast food restaurant named MgRonald while Alciel serves as his houseman. One day, Satan Jacob, who now goes by Sadao Maō, meets a girl who is actually Emilia in the form of Emi Yusa. The story then unfolds and explores the personalities of each of the characters and their moral values. More characters show up from Ente Isla and they too face the new world dilemmas, often comically.

KonoSuba Season 1 Review

Kazuma Satō is a hikikomori (shut-in) a die-hard fan of games, anime, and manga. A traffic accident brings his disappointingly brief life to an end, or it should have, but he wakes up and sees a beautiful girl who introduces herself as a goddess. She asks him if he’d like to go to another world but he can only bring one thing with him. Kazumi chooses to bring the goddess. With that, he is transported to another world and his great adventure subjugating the demon king begins, but first the hard work of finding food, clothing, and shelter begins. Kazuma wants to live in peace, but the goddess raises one problem after another, and then the demon king’s army has its eyes set on him.
