Events Around Me

About Events Around Me

Events Around Me is a website for finding events and things to do: concerts, festivals, workshops, meetups, exhibitions and similar events. It exists because event details are usually scattered across posters, social-media posts and WhatsApp forwards. Here, each event has one page with the date, time, venue, map, price and booking link, and events can be browsed by place, category or date.

What you can do here

  • See events near you (if you allow your browser to share its location) or search all listed events on the Find Events page, filtering by date, location, category and price.
  • Browse by location, category, venue or performer.
  • Save events, add them to your calendar and share them.
  • Read the blog for guides to finding events, including city guides for Kerala.

Where we cover

Events can be browsed by location, date and category. Kerala has a strong selection of listings: its events are grouped under 14 districts, from Thiruvananthapuram in the south to Kasaragod in the north, and towns such as Kochi, Kakkanad or Thiruvalla appear under the district they belong to. Events from other places can be listed too, and how many there are varies by location. Not every place has events listed at all times, and a location page says so when that is the case.

How events get listed

Events are added in two ways: users send them through the form on the Submit an Event page, or the Events Around Me team adds them directly. Direct publishing by the public is switched off on purpose, so that listings can be reviewed before they go live.

The details on an event page — description, price, ticket link, organiser — are taken from what the organiser has published or provided, so they are only as current as that source. Anything an event page does not show (an address, accessibility information, age limits) simply has not been provided to us.

How listings are kept up to date

  • An event can be marked cancelled, postponed or coming soon, and its page shows that status clearly.
  • Events drop out of the “upcoming” lists once they have ended. Venue and performer pages keep a short history of recent events.
  • Plans change. Dates, times and prices can be revised by organisers after we list an event, so confirm with the organiser before travelling.

Reporting a mistake

If something is wrong, out of date or should be removed, use the “Report incorrect information” link on the event page, or email [email protected] with the event link. Organisers can ask us to correct or take down their own listing the same way.

Our blog

Blog articles are written by the Events Around Me team. Each shows its publication date and, when it has been revised, an updated date. Where an article is about a district, it ends with a live list of the events currently listed there.
