Kovalam Beach: Mobile Photography Walk | Secret Garden Cafe, Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram

The Verandah Collective presents its first-ever Mobile Photography Walk at Kovalam Lighthouse Beach, Kerala. This smartphone photography walk offers participants an opportunity to explore the Kovalam coastline, capture beach scenery and experiment with creative photography techniques in a relaxed group setting.

The walk focuses on capturing atmospheric beach skies, changing cloud formations, textures and high-contrast reflections along the Lighthouse coastline. Participants can learn quick smartphone photography tips, experiment with creative framing, meet fellow photography enthusiasts and share their favourite photographs. The group will gather at the cafe for an initial briefing before heading to the shore together, then return to the cafe after the walk for conversations and photo sharing.

The event takes place on Sunday, 25 October 2026, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The meeting point is Secret Garden Cafe, behind German Bakery, Kovalam. The beach walk starts at 5:00 PM. Participants can use any smartphone and are advised to arrive with a fully charged battery. The walk will proceed in rain or shine, with indoor garden photography focusing on low-light and macro techniques at the cafe if it rains. A minimum of one cafe order per person is mandatory during the seating, and registration is subject to limited slots.
